Who may use etch.it

Adults may create and manage their own accounts. If you are below the age at which you can agree to online privacy terms where you live, use etch.it only with the permission and direct involvement of a parent, guardian, or tutor.

Your account and acceptable use

• Provide accurate account information and keep your password or linked sign-in method secure.
• Do not share credentials, impersonate someone else, or interfere with another member's access.
• Do not upload unlawful, abusive, infringing, or malicious content, or use etch.it to scrape or attack other systems.

Decks, content, and suggestions

You keep ownership of the content you create or upload. You give etch.it a limited permission to host, back up, transform for display, and share that content with the deck members you invite or approve.

Tutors, owners, and deck admins may review, accept, edit, or reject suggestions and mnemonics submitted into shared decks so the final teaching content stays curated.

AI features and paid services

Generated suggestions can be wrong and must be reviewed by a person before teaching or assessment use. etch.it may limit or withdraw AI access if the feature is abused or its provider is unavailable.

If you buy a subscription or AI credits, the checkout page shows the current price, allowance, renewal terms, and any feature-specific usage rules before you confirm the purchase.

Changes, suspension, and ending the service

etch.it may change the product, pause features for maintenance or security, or suspend accounts that break these terms or put other users at risk.

You can stop using etch.it at any time. Account deletion and privacy rights are handled as described in the Privacy policy.
